No hope for Hawkins? Stranger Things S4 Part 2 trailer is pretty bleak

We look forward to the two-part finale of the fourth season strange things, Will Hawkins survive?

It was a strange creative decision to split the fourth season of strange things into two unequal parts. While Part 1 (consisting of the first seven episodes) was a bit bloated, it nonetheless told a compelling story, raised some real stakes, and left viewers with many cliffhangers to ponder. Luckily, we don’t have a long wait to see what happens next, and Netflix just dropped an exciting new trailer that shows what we can expect from the final two episodes, each of which takes about an hour. Let’s sees well at run time. And things look very bleak for the Hawkins gang.

(Some spoilers for S4 Part 1 below, but we’ve tried to avoid revealing the biggest plot twists.)

Since the official trailer for Part 1 arrived in May, we’ve known this season’s big bad hail came straight from the classic D&D Knowledge. This is Vecna, a once powerful sorcerer who was not undead at first and then became a lich. Although Vkna (in lore, at least) was destroyed, over time he acquired divinity. His left hand and left eye survived his physical death and became powerful relics.

The series gives Vecna a very different backstory that links the character to everything that has happened to Hawkins since the first season. He rather looks like Freddy Krueger nightmare on Elm Street franchise, except that it preys on the negative thoughts and feelings of people (especially teenagers) rather than their dreams. The dire fate of their victims causes an outbreak of “satanic terror” in the healthy town of Hawkins. And that’s all I will say about Vecna for now.

Meanwhile, the entire Byers clan, including Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), have relocated to Southern California, where Will (Noah Schnapp) and Eleven naturally find themselves high school outcasts. Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Steve (Joe Keery), and Robin (Maya Hawke) stayed at Hawkins, where Lucas’ newfound Basketball abilities earned him entry into the popular crowd. (It must be said that the high school dynamics in the early S4 episodes are incredibly cliche; it’s not. strange things does well.)

Hopper (David Harbour) is being held captive by the Russians, but is plotting a breakout with a Russian guard named Enzo (Tom Wlaschiha). This involves sending a coded message to Joyce (Winona Ryder), who immediately jumps on a plane to Alaska with Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) – the true nature of her “business trip” with her kids at home and in the dark. leaves as. Eleven is then snatched away and brought to a secret underground lair run by none other than her “Papa”: Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine). Byers’ survivors take to the street to rescue him. .

in great shape , Flashbacks tell us more about Eleven’s early days in Dr. Brenner’s lab and a certain tragic event.

But does the XI really need a defense? Eleven had enough flashbacks to the early days in Dr. Brenner’s lab, before it opened a gateway between our world and the Upside Down. We learn that a mysterious event caused the death of almost all the children except for Eleven, whose fragmented memories of the time seem to implicate Eleven as the culprit. (Earlier seasons certainly established that he is almost always capable of killing in self-defense.) It seems that Dr. Brenner has been recruited to help him recover his powers, lest Vecna’s. The activities enable the Upside Down to fully take over our world.

A lot fell short in the first seven episodes, seeing three different stories in three different locations, and things ended on three cliffhangers. Joyce is reunited with Hopper as he escapes from his Russian prison, but they still have to find a way back to America. Steve, Nancy, and D&D Dungeon master Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) — this season’s breakout character — is trapped in the Upside Down.

Dustin, Lucas and Erica (Priya Ferguson) find another gate to save them, but after Vecna snatches Nancy’s brain at the last minute, Steve is torn between trying to save Nancy or the “real” world of young children. Searched. , As for Eleven, she learned the truth about what really happened in the lab that tragic day—and the true nature of the danger facing her friends now at Hawkins.
